A large part of my process for staying creatively fresh has become planning and styling shoots of my own, and engaging in personal work when I’m not shooting sessions and weddings. I’ve realized how important this is to keeping myself inspired and driven to be constantly pushing myself to create my best work for my couples. It also scratches a very real styling itch I have - I crave styling things in all aspects of my life. I’m a graphic designer, an artist, a thrift shop junkie and I’m always making mood boards, so a lot of that carries over into my photography work and it feeds my creative eye when i’m working behind the camera.
I’d held the goal of putting together my own shoot for a while but I truly could not have anticipated how it all came together the way it did. I couldn’t have done it without the help of two other ambitious women and our amazing models, as well as the talented vendors listed below.
